Louis is currently leading a complete Product transformation at Simply Business, the UK’s number one online insurance broker for small businesses. Louis’ route into Product was varied. Following a degree in Experimental Psychology at Oxford, Louis cut his teeth in software engineering at johnlewis.com as the UK’s favourite department store took it’s first steps into the world of online shopping. Having always been obsessed with the customer experience, Louis crossed over into UX, leading a highly successful redesign of the johnlewis.com website, before leaving to combine his passion for UX, engineering and business and lead Product at online jewellery start-up Astley Clarke. Louis later returned to johnlewis.com leading Product for the online retailer’s multi-million pound re-platform. Following this he worked at Tesco, where he helped re-launch the UK’s biggest grocery retailer’s Product Management function and defined the vision and roadmap for a single customer account. Louis lives in West London with his family, and outside of work enjoys fine food, wine and picnicking regardless of whether it’s snowing, raining, or occasionally a bit sunny.
